Serenas season-spanning blend of pima cotton and baby alpaca has fantastic drape, and makes it perfect for scarves, wraps, cardigans, and summer tops. The fiber blend together with the kettle-dyeing process give the colors a heathered, stonewashed look.
Pima cotton is one of the finer cotton types. This comes from the long, smooth fibres which results in wonderfully soft garments.
Manos del Uruguay is a non-profit social organization which, since 1968, has provided jobs for craftswomen living in Uruguay rural areas. They spin by hand and craft dye beautiful yarns with fantastical, vibrant colors. Each skein of yarn has a tag, with the signature of the woman who made it and the location where it was made. Since 2009 the organization is also part of the World Fair Trade Organization, WFTO.
