Welcome back!

Now it’s time to continue working on our Rose Socks. This time we’ll focus on structure rather than motif knitting. In Part 2, you’ll learn how to work cables without a cable needle using a technique that I demonstrate in the video link below.

Cables remind me of rough stones and fantastic seashells – or, to put it more simply, memories of the beach. Those things we find, save, andhide away – so that we will later be reminded of those days at the seashore, when time stood still and the waves crashed on the beach.

Abbreviations

Cable 1 knit st left (C1L) = Skip the 1st st on the needle but do not slip 1st st from left needle, knit the next st through back loop (k1tbl), leaving st on needle; now knit 1st and slip both sts from left needle.
