The time has come to finish our summery socks which we have been knitting together for the past twoweeks. We have finally come to the romantic roses and what could be better than that? I hope you have had as much fun with this pattern as I have and that, through the Rose Socksyou have had the chance to reminisce about summerpromenades along the beach, your senses alive with fresh sea breezes and dazzling rose bouquets.

Part 4 consists of an elegant two-color pattern that ends with two-color ribbing and a very elastic bind-off edgeIn this section, you can choose which cuff measurement you want to knit!

ROSE SOCKS – Part 4

Abbreviations

Increase 1 in st below = Right-Lifted Increase (RLI): Insert right needle tip into right side of stitch belowstitch on left needle and knit into it.

LEG

Work pattern in stockinette following the chart, increasing with RLI as indicated on chart.

NOTE: Make sure that you choose the cuff pattern which matches the circumference of your leg where the cuff will beBe careful not to knit too tightly when working the stranded knitting pattern. Try on the sock to make sure it goes over your heel/ankle.

The chart is repeated 2 times on each round.

Size S/M

Chart for Cuff circumference of 7½ in / 19 cm

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k1 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k1 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Chart for Cuff circumference of 8¾ in / 22 cm

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k3 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k3 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Chart for Cuff circumference of  in / 24 cm

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k4 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k4 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k5 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k5 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Chart for Cuff circumference of 11 in / 28 cm

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k6 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k6 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Size L/XL

Knit 1 rnd with color 1, increasing 2 sts evenly spaced around = 72 sts.

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k4 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k4 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Chart for Cuff circumference of 11 in / 28 cm

After completing charted rows, work 2-color ribbing as follows: *K1 with color 2, k6 with color 1, k2 color 2, (p2 color 1, k2 color 2) 6 times, k6 color 1, k1 color 2*; rep * to * once more. NOTE: ALL of the stitches are knitted on the first round so that the transition will be smooth!

Work a total of 10 rnds in 2-color ribbing.

Elastic Bind-Off

With color 2:

Step 1. K2tog tbl.

Step 2. Slip the st from right needle to left needle purlwisewyb.

Repeat Steps 1-2 until 1 st remains. Cut yarn and draw end through remaining st.

Weave in all ends neatly on WS.
